It’s International Women’s Day 2023 and we are celebrating all of the amazing girls and women who continue to break down barriers!

On #IWD2023, we are proud to announce Katie Duncan, @duncanhockey.snd13 as our Girl’s and Women’s Blind Hockey Summit and Women’s Division Head Coach!

Katie (Duncan) Wilton is the head coach & owner of Duncan Hockey Skills & Development Ltd. which was established in 2020.

Duncan has been coaching since 2010, and has coached at various levels; age and skill. Her coaching style focuses around knowledge and technique, with a whole lot of fun! Coach Duncan has been coaching with ASRAB for the last few skating & hockey seasons, and recently spending time on the ice with the Seeing Ice Dogs in Calgary, AB.

Spending time coaching athletes on improving their skating and hockey skills is just a small part of why Duncan coaches. Connecting with athletes to help them set goals, achieve their goals, build confidence & celebrate the little victories in the game and in life is what she aims to be a part of. Duncan also likes to remind athletes to have fun, because if nothing at all hockey is fun, and hockey can be fun for everyone!

Watch Coach Katie in action as she coaches the Women’s division March 24-26 and supports the Girl’s and Women’s Summit on March 23!
