Programs
Canadian Blind Hockey changes the lives of children, youth, and adults who are blind or partially sighted through Blind Hockey programming: introductory Try It sessions, development camps, regional and national competitions, and the Canadian Blind Hockey Teams. Our programming is made possible by our National Program Partner, the CNIB Foundation, and by generous donors and sponsors coast-to-coast.

Children & youth: Try Blind Hockey school field trips
One-day introductory field trips where students aged 4–18 who are blind or partially sighted come to an arena, meet peers who share the same disability, learn about hockey, sport, and the Paralympic movement — and of course try skating and Canada's national winter sport. We typically run 15–30 of these programs across Canada every year. To bring a Try Blind Hockey event to your community, contact Program Director Luca DeMontis.
We also run weekly children and youth programs, including the Toronto Junior Ice Owls (Sundays at Scotiabank Pond, October to March), an after-school program with the W Ross MacDonald School for the Blind in Brantford, and a youth-focused program in Ottawa in partnership with the Ottawa 67's and the OSEG Foundation.
Girls & women's programs
Our Girls & Women's stream includes a series of events headlined by the annual Girls and Women's Blind Hockey Summit, first held in 2022. Most players in the Women's Division can also play co-ed in the Youth, Low Vision & Development, and Open divisions. The National Team brings together the best Blind Hockey players from across Canada to compete in the annual International Blind Ice Hockey Series — undefeated since the series began:
