The Para sport of Blind Hockey is played by athletes who are blind or partially sighted – with approximately 10% vision or less – using an adapted puck that is larger than a traditional puck and makes noise. The sport is played by children, youth, and adults across Canada and in six countries worldwide.  The BHL is the most competitive, elite division of the Para sport with many players who have previously played high-level traditional hockey including junior hockey.

The local Ottawa 67’s Children and Youth Blind Hockey program powered by OSEG Foundation will be part of the festivities during Game # 1 as “Blue Line Buddies” during the Opening Ceremonies followed by a showcase scrimmage during the first intermission. Come on out and cheer on the local Ottawa Youth as they take the ice with their heroes as they dream of someday playing in the BHL.

The event will also be livestreamed on YouTube. For more information, please visit blindhockeyleague.com and check out the Blind Hockey League on social media.
