“Sport is a catalyst to a healthy and happy lifestyle. Opportunities that lead to healthy bodies and minds should be available for everyone. We are committed to supporting initiatives that will help us realize our goal of a more inclusive Canadian sport system that benefits everyone.” Adam van Koeverden, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and to the Minister of Sport.

Canadian Blind Hockey is thrilled to have received a Community Sport for All initiative grant from Sport Canada that will allow all #Blind #Hockey programs in #Canada to launch outreach and recruitment initiatives in more than 17 communities across the country. These initiatives are designed to recruit and support new participants of all ages who are blind or partially sighted, including those who are Black, Indigenous, persons of colour, or newcomers.

Thank you to Sport Canada for this tremendous support, we look forward to using this grant to accelerate our mission to make #hockey #accessible to all Canadians who are blind or partially sighted.
