Board member François Beauregard and E.D. Matt Morrow had a great introductory meeting with Para hockey coach Hugues Capderroque from Para Hockey sur Glace – Stade Poitevin Hockey Club 86 and Sport Development Officer Francois Dumont from Anices Handisport about bringing Blind Hockey to France. Para hockey is relatively new in the country, and we are looking forward to assisting with Try Blind Hockey sessions in the near future!
There are now six countries with active Blind Hockey programs including Canada, the United States, England, Russia, Finland, and Sweden; and we’ve now had meetings with interested groups in Australia, Italy, and now France.
