This camp has had really great coaching, and overall a really great experience. As a blind hockey player, this shows me the trend in which the game is going, it’s getting bigger and for this to be as big of an event as it is, I can’t believe the opportunities that are out there and keep on coming for blind athletes.” – Nik Bullick on his first attendance during the Summer Development camp 2023

I started to play Blind Hockey around 2014 when I was 14 years old. I went to the first ever Canadian Blind Hockey camp in Burnaby, BC.

It was so much fun, great sense of community and family. We all came together from across Canada to play hockey! It was probably the most fun I ever had in my early teenage years. I went to camp the following year and then I played at the National Tournament in Toronto.

I’m pretty busy with track and field right now but I’d love to come back out and play.

Coming back to it, this was my first game in over 5 years. it’s been a lot of fun. I forgot how much work hockey is but it’s fun, I had a blast.”
