Matt Morrow has 15 years of sport management experience and has been working professionally on developing the parasport of Blind Hockey since 2007. Matt has worked full-time for Canadian Blind Hockey since 2012, and is responsible for the overall administration and management of the charity and is the key contact for fundraising opportunities. In addition to Blind Hockey Matt has extensive experience volunteering as both a referee and coach with the Paralympic sport of Goalball, and was the Manager for Canada’s first-ever Beep Baseball team in 2015.

Luca DeMontis has over 15 years of Sports Management experience and has worked in the professional, amature and charitable side of the sports entertainment world.  Luca has been a dedicated member of the Blind Hockey Community as a volunteer since 2011 and has worked full time for Canadian Blind Hockey since 2018. Luca was named the General Manager of the inaugural 2018 Canadian National Blind Hockey Team and he continues to embrace the role of GM for the Canadian National Blind Hockey Team.  Today, as the Program Director, his role also focuses on growing Blind Hockey programs across the country for children, youth and adults who are blind and partially sighted.

Mel Carrey has supported Canadian Blind Hockey since its inception, and has proudly joined the organization full time as the Marketing Communications Manager as well as Executive Assistant.

Volunteer Board of Directors

Greg Manion is a successful business owner of a Toronto based benefits and pension company Manion and Associates. Using his skills in managing Multi Employer Pension and Employee Life and Health Trust Funds he is utilizing these skills to assist with the financial and operational characteristics of administering Canadian Blind Hockey organization. Greg is a long-time volunteer of Canadian Blind Hockey having helped coach programs since 2014. Greg has strong relationship building skills and is a key fundraiser of the organization.
Born with a degenerative deafblind condition, Matthew is an entrepreneur and recognized accessibility innovator. Matt has founded several businesses and worked with dozens of clients across sectors. In 2021 he launched Disability Solutions to help businesses apply the lens of accessibility to solve business problems and serves as an advisor to governments on accessibility legislation, standards and best practices. He and his family live in Barrie, Ontario, where he tries to get on the ice as much as he can.
Laura Mark works for CNIB and is responsible for team operations for the ON North region. Laura is also a member of the Toronto Ice Owls and is the Girls and Women’s Coordinator for Canadian Blind Hockey.
Bruno has been a member of the Canadian National Blind Hockey team since 2018. He retired from the National Paralympic Goalball team in 2022 and now focuses on growing the Para Sport of Blind Hockey with the goal to one day see it arrive at the Paralympic Games. He is an installation technician for the Quebec Government in a rehabilitation centre for the visually impaired and run multiple business opportunities on the side.
